In January, the average price of a detached house in Toronto was CAD 1.54 million, down 2.4% year-over-year but up 3% month-over-month. The average prices of townhouses and condominiums were CAD 770,000 and CAD 630,000 respectively, down approximately 10% from the same period last year.

Compared to December of last year, sales of both detached and semi-detached homes decreased by approximately 25%. Sales ratios for all property types remained above 20%, with semi-detached homes achieving a sales ratio as high as 41%.
