In October 2024, home sales in the Greater Toronto Area saw strong year-over-year growth. New listings also increased during the same period, but at a lower annual growth rate than sales. Therefore, the market supply was tighter compared to October 2023. Average selling prices rose slightly year-over-year.

TRREB market statistics show that 6,658 homes were sold in the Greater Toronto Area that month, a 44.4% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The average selling price in the Greater Toronto Area rose 1.1% to C$1.14 million. Prices remained relatively stable compared to September. The average number of days a home stayed on the market was 27, unchanged from September.

The number of newly listed homes in the month was 15,328, and the ratio of sales to new listings was 43.4%, which was favorable to buyers.
